The Lectron Trainer – 1102 Solar model blended the 1100 and 1101  learning cards with addition teaching materials to cover the solar technology curriculum.

The four primary topics included:

• What is a solar cell?
• The consumer
• Solar systems
• Solar energy storage – gold capacitor

A more comprehensive course of study for the solar subject matter was provided in the updated model designed by Gerd Kopperschmidt of LectronRWO as the expansion model 1006.  This model also covered the optoelectronics subject matter.
