The Raytheon Series 1 was presented as their ‘introductory’ model.  It certainly was, having fewer parts and experiments than the Model 800!  Only 12 experiments could be explored using the original manual.

When the supplementary manual no. 1 was issued, the experiment count went to 20.

As there was no analog to the Series 1 in the Electronic Dominoes product line, Raytheon did not have a photograph for the Series 1 set profile. Why Ratheon did not add actual production run photos of the Series 1 – 3 sets is subject to conjecture. Perhaps the instruction manual was adopted before the new Series packaging design had been completed.

The original selling price was $12.00!
