<p style=”text-align: justify;”><span style=”font-family: ‘Marcellus SC’; font-size: 24px;”>Around end of the year 1967 someone had a dream from a Demonstration System with triple size Lectron blocks:

<p style=”text-align: justify;”><span style=”font-family: ‘Marcellus SC’; font-size: 24px;”>

<p style=”text-align: justify;”><span style=”font-family: ‘Marcellus SC’; font-size: 24px;”>… and so a couple of blocks from each type were produced, but without labeling first (Ω / F / …) to make advertising, demonstrations, exhibitions etc., like this ones (#8036 and #8054 in triple size):

<p style=”text-align: justify;”><span style=”font-family: ‘Marcellus SC’; font-size: 24px;”>

<p style=”text-align: justify;”><span style=”font-family: ‘Marcellus SC’; font-size: 24px;”>The labeling had been done later with a stencil in italic and a waterproof ink, perhaps this one, which Mr. Guerth used for his developments:

<p style=”text-align: justify;”><span style=”font-family: ‘Marcellus SC’; font-size: 24px;”>

<p style=”text-align: justify;”><span style=”font-family: ‘Marcellus SC’; font-size: 24px;”>Today there are still enough old demo blocks, together with a huge amount of newer ones. But nobody seems to have an interest to sell these…

<p style=”text-align: justify;”><span style=”font-family: ‘Marcellus SC’; font-size: 24px;”>On this self-made wall-plate 100x60cm are all demo blocks which are required for the experiments 1…90 of the legacy 8400 Labor I System (Base/Grund+Ausbau1+Ausbau2), Training System 1100+1101, Boolean Algebra 1200 and Physics Experimental:

<p style=”text-align: justify;”><span style=”font-family: ‘Marcellus SC’; font-size: 24px;”>

<p style=”text-align: justify;”><span style=”font-family: ‘Marcellus SC’; font-size: 24px;”>The own production of wanted demo blocks is no problem, like this 3 Jumbo LED blocks or the big crossing connection for the multivibrator circuit:

<p style=”text-align: justify;”><span style=”font-family: ‘Marcellus SC’; font-size: 24px;”>

<p style=”text-align: justify;”><span style=”font-family: ‘Marcellus SC’; font-size: 24px;”>For the home office the AM reflex radio will be the right wall decoration:

<p style=”text-align: justify;”><span style=”font-family: ‘Marcellus SC’; font-size: 24px;”>

<p style=”text-align: justify;”><span style=”font-family: ‘Marcellus SC’; font-size: 24px;”>The “red” Demonstration System 1300 is shown at the Braun menu – but there is a story before:

<p style=”text-align: justify;”><span style=”font-family: ‘Marcellus SC’; font-size: 24px;”>

<p style=”text-align: justify;”><span style=”font-family: ‘Marcellus SC’; font-size: 24px;”>This system was presented on exhibitions in 1968 and had some more blocks (these were not delivered with the 1300 system!):

<p style=”text-align: justify;”><span style=”font-family: ‘Marcellus SC’; font-size: 24px;”>

<p style=”text-align: justify;”><span style=”font-family: ‘Marcellus SC’; font-size: 24px;”>The NAND, a FLIP-FLOP and another driver for status displays – the logic was MECL (Motorola Emitter Coupled Logic), done with the MC97x family. Perhaps these blocks were part of the planned 1301 Demo-System “Sequential logic” – never offered.

<p style=”text-align: justify;”><span style=”font-family: ‘Marcellus SC’; font-size: 24px;”>So far for today – enjoy and dream…of an own demo system…

<p style=”text-align: justify;”><span style=”font-family: ‘Marcellus SC’; font-size: 24px;”>Best,

<p style=”text-align: justify;”><span style=”font-family: ‘Marcellus SC’; font-size: 24px;”>Günther

Very interesting historical information Günther, thank you!
Don’t forget about the Ausbausystem 3 demo block prototype set which you discovered in the Lectron, GmbH warehouse.
For my new home, I am going to make a wall display unit of the FM Stereo block and circuit that you helped develop for the 50th anniversary jubilee. It will feature the speaker substitutions that Frank pioneered to have enhanced sound quality.
