Hi all,
I was looking at the Lectron legacy set and wondered if the HT transformer could also be used for audio.
And yes, it can although it was designed for very high frequencies.
So I made a 2 stage audio amplifier where this transformer couples the 2 stages.
It has a higher gain than without the transformer.
This is because the secondary has a lot more windings than the primary.
After assembling the circuit, be amazed how sensitive this amplifier is !
Try also once to swap the earphone with the speaker !
I used the speaker as microphone but you can easily connect an audio source to the 0,1µF capacitor.
Instead of the earphone, you can use the speaker.
Many greetings
