I’m curious if anyone has ever looked into making models of the Lectron component plastic cases for 3D printing?

          Hello Mpeg2tom,

Yes that has been done by a fellow Lectroneer’s friend!  He created a 3D replica of the battery block white cover.  I am sure the plastic case could be done too.

Here is the discussion topic for you and welcome to Lectron.Info!

A 3D replica of the battery block (white cover)

            Hi Thomas,

It is indeed possible to create white covers for the blocks.

The clear plastic cases are hard to reproduce since there’s no clear plastic filament yet.

The idea was to reuse a basic clear bottom part and to print white covers for it.

These can be labeled for the circuits inside.

            Many greetings

Thanks very much Frank for helping Tom out with his request.  You’re the best!  Michael.

There are some techniques for getting fairly transparent 3D prints, see this video.

Do you have STL files available for the covers?
